The Philosophy of Hate Crime Symposium scrutinizes the basis of European hate crime policy

September 26–27, a research group at the Department of philosophy, linguistics and theory of science hosts the symposium The Philosophy of Hate Crime as a step within the EU project When Law and Hate Collide: Perspectives on Hate Crime

Presenters at the symposium are several prominent debaters, scholars and researchers on basic issues about what hate crime is, why it is important to have a policy for hate crimes, how such a policy should and should not be designed and on what theoretical basis such issues are to be settled.

The symposium is not open for additional attendants, but will be documented by the Gothenburg University-TV, for subsequent broadcasting of presentations and discussions on television and on the internet.
