Thursday 19 September there will be two lectures related to the topic Neurolaw. Gerben Meynen from the Netherlands will give the talk Neurolaw and Forensic Psychiatry.

Lecturer: Gerben Meynen received a PhD in Philosophy and in Medicine. He is professor of Forensic Psychiatry (Utrecht University) and endowed professor of Ethics and Psychiatry (VU University Amsterdam). Since 2006, he has been a psychiatrist at GGZ inGeest, Amsterdam.

Cross-faculty seminar on how to recruit doctoral candidates with external funding

Meike Froitzheim and Cécile Marsille from the Grants and Innovation Office are going to give a presentation about the conditions for applying for doctoral candidates with external funding and doctoral candidates with an external employment. Two researchers, Mia Liinason from KUV and Morten Sager from FLoV, will share their experiences from recruiting doctoral candidates in this way. To conclude, with will have an open discussion on how to recruit doctoral candidates in the future. Language will be either Swedish or English, depending on who attends.

Lecturer: Gregg D. Caruso is Professor of Philosophy at SUNY Corning, USA. He is also Honorary Professor of Philosophy at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Aberdeen School of Law in Scotland.
