About Anders Herlitz

I am, during the period January 2015-December 2017, COFAS Marie Curie fellow in practical philosophy at the University of Gothenburg and at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. My research revolves, primarily, around comparability problems and value conflicts, but I also write on shared decision making, need aggregation, and how we can and should study and understand religious agents (primarily in Muslim majority countries). In 2012, I received my PhD from the European University Institute, Florence. Prior to taking up my current position I was a visiting scholar first at Georgetown University and then at the University of Oxford. I have also worked as a lecturer in moral philosophy and political theory at Bogazici University, Istanbul. Since 2014, I am a member of the research college at the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul.
