I am a a classical philologist specialized in textual criticism and in the reception of ancient logic in Late Antiquity and the Mediaeval West. I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Gothenburg in 2001 with a critical edition of Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius De syllogismo categorico. Between 2004 and 2007, I held a position as post-doctorate research fellow at the University of Gothenburg, financed by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and worked mainly on a critical edition and commentary on Boethius’ other monograph on the categorical syllogism, commonly known as Introductio ad syllogismos categoricos. Both editions appeared in 2008.

During 2008–2010, I was granted further funding by the Swedish Research Council to produce a critical edition of a large fragment of the earliest known Latin commentary on the Prior Analytics, the ‘Anonymus Aurelianensis III’ (MS Orléans, Bibliothèque municipale, 283, 12th c.). The edition will appear with Brill Publishers in 2013.

I have taught Latin regularly at the University of Gothenburg since 1998. In 2009, I was appointed docent and since 2010, I hold a position as senior lecturer in Latin. In collaboration with Filip Radovic, I have initiated and developed the BA programme in Liberal Arts which was launched at the University of Gothenburg in 2011.

Since 2009, I have been a partner of the research programme History of Philosophy in Reverse. Reading Aristotle through the lenses of scholars from the Middle Ages and the 16th–17th centuries at University of Copenhagen. 2009–2011, I was coordinator of the Scandinavian research network The Aristotelian Tradition: The Reception of Aristotle’s Works on Logic and Metaphysics in the Middle Ages which was funded by Riksbankens jubileumsfond. From 2009 to 2011 the network gradually expanded and eventually developed into Representation and Reality.

I am the project leader of Representation and Reality, section leader of the Latin tradition, with Filip Radovic researcher in the sub-project Dreaming and the Illusion of Reality in the Aristotelian Tradition, and member of the Text editing Group directed by Sten Ebbesen.
